Another Pulitzer Prize for Craig Walker and the Denver Post

Craig Walker, staff photographer at the Denver Post, continues to draw top honors for his 2011 portfolio. Last week, Walker was awarded the Pulitzer Prize – the second of his career – for his powerful picture story documenting Marine veteran Brian Scott Ostrom’s struggles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Boulder. Earlier this year Craig was named Photographer of the Year by Pictures of the Year International. Two years ago Craig won his first Pulitzer Prize for his American Soldier project, which followed Ian Fisher from his recruitment through basic training and his tours in Iraq. Give a good look through the two projects that Craig won the Pulitzer for. They will change the way you think about our men and women in uniform. Craig’s an incredibly dedicated, passionate, and caring photojournalist – and one of the nicest guys in the business.
